Cookies and data

Data controller
The data controller is the publisher of this site, an individual acting in a non-professional capacity whose identity has been given to the host named in the legal notice (article 6-III-2 of the law on confidence in the digital economy).
Data collected
The pages of this site are static. There is no form, no account to create, and no advertising tracker. Only overall traffic is counted, without cookies (see “Audience measurement” below). Visiting the site gives the publisher no data that could identify you.
Audience measurement
To know how much the site is visited, including page views, visits, the most viewed pages, and the sites visitors come from, the publisher uses its own audience counter, hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Workers service and D1 database). When a page is opened, a short script sends the site itself, which passes them on to this counter, only two pieces of information: the address of the page viewed (without its parameters) and the name of the site you came from, if there is one. It sends nothing when the page is reloaded or reopened with the “back” button.
This counter sets no cookie, writes nothing to browser storage, and assigns no identifier: it cannot recognize a visitor from one page or visit to the next. It records neither your IP address nor your browser characteristics: only aggregated counters, meaning a number of views per site, per day, per page, and per referring site. Visits by known bots are counted separately, under the name of their family only, and never mixed with visits. These counters are kept for 25 months at most, then erased.
This script also records clicks to the store this site links to. When you click such a link, it sends the site, which relays them to the same counter, the address of the page where the link was, the type of link (in the text, box, or button), and the name of the site you arrived from on that page, if there is one, and nothing more. Only a number of clicks per day, per page, and per link form is kept, plus a total of clicks per day and per origin (search engine, assistant, social network, direct access), without cookies and without an identifier, for 25 months at most.
These figures are used solely to measure the audience of this site, for the publisher's own account only. They are not cross-referenced with other processing, not used for advertising, and not sold; they do not let anyone follow your browsing on other sites. Framed in this way, audience measurement does not require your consent (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and CNIL recommendations on audience measurement); it rests on the publisher's legitimate interest in knowing how much the site is visited.
You can object to it at any time without affecting how you read the site, by disabling JavaScript or by blocking, in your content blocker, the address /m55gbhs/gdl2c34q6 of this site, to which the script sends its signal.
Technical data held by the host
Connection logs may be kept by the host, Cloudflare, Inc. (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent) to ensure the security and operation of the service. This processing is the host's own: it follows its own privacy policy, which the publisher does not control.
Article 6-II of the law on confidence in the digital economy requires certain connection data to be kept for a limited period, for the investigation and detection of offenses.
No cookies
This site sets no cookies, including for audience measurement. If an advertising or other tracker were ever added, this paragraph would be updated and a consent mechanism put in place before any tracker that is not strictly necessary is set.
After an outbound click
Some articles link to merchant sites. They contain no tracking identifier, and the product images shown here are served by this site itself. On another site, its own privacy policy takes over.
Visitor rights
You have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability regarding data about you. Because this site collects no data that could identify you, it holds in principle nothing in this respect. For a request, contact the host named in the legal notice, who will pass it on to the publisher.
If your rights are not respected, you can bring the matter to the CNIL: <https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes>.
Data outside the European Union
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., whose servers may process data outside the European Union. The safeguards provided by the GDPR, including standard contractual clauses, govern these transfers.
The audience measurement counters are stored in a database located in the European Union. The brief processing of each signal by Cloudflare, Inc. may take place outside the Union, on the server closest to the visitor; Cloudflare adheres to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, supplemented by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
